HP is one of the few companies in the world to achieve a zero-deforestation goal for the sourcing of its paper and packaging. In 2020, HP has achieved zero deforestation for 99% of HP brand paper and paper-based product packaging with the remaining 1% assessed to ensure reported fibre usage meets HP's Sustainable Paper and Wood Policy. We are reducing emissions by:

  • Using recycled materials in 60% of the primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
  • Using 60% green electricity in the production process
  • Using 80% of the heat from renewable sources in the production process
  • Creating 100% recyclable packaging and product

All HP Papers sold in Europe are sustainably sourced. The vast majority of HP Paper already carry the EU Ecolabel and FSC® or PEFC certification and they have committed to increasing this to 100% by 2025. An essential part of a HP Climate Choice climate action journey is to make its ambition and achievements visible. The ClimatePartner certified label and our climate-ID page show what we have achieved in each of the five steps of climate action.

Exacompta originated in 1928, and is one of the best known brands for filing and office items. Over the past 30 years, the brand has expanded its production, and is home to a number of filing, desktop and office stationery products. Their wide product portfolio originates from the UK, including the Chartwell, Guildhall and pressboard designs.
Exacompta products are environmentally responsible. Many of the products are FSC® or Blue Angel® certified, proving to consumers they are responsibly sourced or made from recycled materials. View the exacompta range

With a vibrant, chic and refined appearance, Blue Angel certified Maia products are manufactured from 100% recycled plastic waste, resulting in lower CO2 emissions.
The range takes used plastic items such as punnets, bottles and yoghurt pots, which are then ground into flakes before being transformed into granules. Tinted and embossed polypropylene sheets are then extruded from these granules and used to produce Maїa filing products, with their distinctive pearled honeycomb patterned effects. Items within the Maїa range are Blue Angel certified, recognising the fact they are made from 100% post-consumer plastic waste. exaclair sustainable practices
